QuiltComposer collects information solely through voluntary, optional means. At the moment, this is primarily done through registering for the forums.

1. Email Updates

All users registered for the forums are by default signed up to receive occasional email notification from QuiltComposer. This will most often be a notification of a new release. You are welcome to opt out of these notifications by logging into your control panel in the forums and unchecking "Send me any updates sent by the board administrator" under Email Settings. We do not distribute our email list to third parties.

2. Message boards/forums policy

Users of QuiltComposer Forums must register in order to post messages. Registration is not required to view the forums. During registration the user is required to supply a username, password, and email address.

3. Surveys

QuiltComposer may occasionally conduct user surveys to better target our content to our audience.

Cookies

In order to log in to the forums, we must place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The only personal information the cookie may contain is information you have knowingly provided by registering for the forums.

QuiltComposer uses PayPal for all purchases. PayPal is an industry standard equipped to safeguard our customers' financial information. QuiltComposer does not process customer credit card numbers or other financial information.

Please be aware that there are many "spoofed" emails claiming to be from PayPal. If there is any doubt that an email is actually from PayPal, you should not click on any links in that email. Open a web browser, and manually type in www.paypal.com to access your account.

You are welcome to opt out of email notifications from QuiltComposer by logging into the QuiltComposer Forums and unchecking "Send me any updates sent by the board administrator" under Email Settings under your control panel. This does not affect your ability to use the forums.
